Solskjaer is Inspiring Manchester United to Attack again

Solskjaer is helping Manchester United to Attack again

Manchester United is known for fast attacking football, wing play, and counter-attack but this has been missing since the exit of former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson. 3 managers have been appointed after SAF but none was able to keep the style alive.

Newly appointed interim manager of the club, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been called by the management to stay in charge of the club till the end of the season.

The former Manchester United striker was appointed after the sacking of Jose Mourinho due to the poor run of the team in all competition this season.

Prior to Ole’s appointment the Red Devils style of play, results, and atmosphere are not encouraging to the fans and management of the club but since he took charge the atmosphere has changed, the team is now playing attacking football which was lacking during Jose’s reign.

The Norwegian has been able to inspire his team to get 6 points in 2 games, scoring 8 goals while only conceding 2 in the English Premier League. In his first match in charge, the team scored 5 goals against Cardiff City, the last time Man United scored 5 goals in a match was during the era of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Solskjaer tenure might still be too short to get all the credit but watching Manchester United play in their last 2 games was exciting and there is this attacking mindset Solskjaer have been able to imbibe in the players. United won their first match 5 – 1 against Cardiff City away and 3 – 1 against Huddersfield at home.

The only area that Ole still need to work more on is the defense, Manchester United have only been able to keep 2 clean sheets after 19 matches in the EPL this season.

Ole might have been hired as an interim manager but with his performance so far and the spirit in the team, he might just be backed by the fans and management to continue.
