Election 2019: Buhari and Atiku Absent at the Presidential Debate

The candidates of the All Progressive Congress, President Muhammadu Buhari and the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar were both absent at the venue of the presidential debate.

The debate that was expected to be attended by 5 candidates, the YPP candidate, Kingsley Moghalu, candidate of ACPN, Oby Ezekwesili, the candidate of ANN, Fela Durotoye, PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the candidate of the ruling party, APC, President Muhammadu Buhari but only 3 candidates attended the debate.

The ruling party and the main opposition party were both absent for the debate which was organised for candidates to address the nation on how they plan to run the government if elected.
