Election 2019: PDP rejects the Appointment of Amina Zakari as Chairman, Collation Center for the Presidential Election

The main opposition in the forthcoming general elections, People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has rejected the appointment of Mrs. Amina Zakari as the Chairman, Collation Center for the 2019 Presidential Election.

In a statement released by the party, it was revealed that Mrs. Amina Zakari is President Buhari’s niece and she is not supposed to hold a position like that because of her relationship with the president. The party revealed that Mrs. Zakari is the link between INEC and President Buhari presidency.

The party also claimed that this is a ploy by the ruling party, All Progressive Congress, APC and INEC to rig the forthcoming election in favor of the incumbent.

PDP also claimed that while Mrs. Zakari was head of ICT department at INEC she was accused of manipulating the INEC voter register to accommodate fictitious, underage and alien voters, particularly, in remote areas across the country.
