Kane Strikes as Tottenham end Chelsea Carabao Cup Hope

Tottenham Hotspur defeated Chelsea in the first leg of the semi-final of the Carabao Cup at the Wembley to take one step closer to the final of the competition.

Harry Kane goal in the 27th minute of the match was all that Spurs needed to win the intense match.

VAR spotted a penalty kick after Kane collided with Kepa, it first seems like it was dive by the English captain but after a call by VAR the referee changed his decision and awarded a penalty to Spurs. Kane converted from the spot.

Tottenham will now be hoping to get at least a draw in the second leg of the fixtures to make it to the final.

Chelsea, on the other hand, need at least a 2 goal win to be sure of a place in the English Football League cup final.

This is a good feat for Mauricio Pochettino who recently said during an interview that for his team to compete for titles they need to bring in more legs. Pochettino is yet to win a trophy since joining Tottenham in 2014.
