Man kills his Fiancée for opening Whiskey before him, which is against his Culture

A man reportedly killed his fiancée for opening his whiskey before him, which according to him is against his culture.

The 35-year-old man from Tswelopele near Midrand in South Africa who killed his 27-year-old fiancée over a bottle of whiskey had told everyone in his household he would be the one to open it. However, it was gathered that his fiancee, Palesa Moloi (27), could not resist the booze when she saw it inside the cupboard and took a sip.

However, Captain Bernard Matimulane who spoke to newsmen, said when cops arrived at the couple’s rented room, they found the drunken suspect staring at Palesa’s body.

“When police interrogated him, he told them he killed the woman because she opened his bottle of whiskey and drank some while he was not around,” he said.

“He told the cops only he, as the head of the household, was entitled to open the liquor.

“He claimed it was his culture.”

The suspect who has been charged with murder is expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrates Court on Thursday. Daily Sun reported that acting Ivory Park station commander Colonel Baba Mpotoane was shocked by the incident.

“We are saddened by women being killed by the people who are supposed to love and protect them.”
