Newcastle United stuns Slippery Manchester City

Newcastle United defeat defending champions, Manchester City at the St. James Park in the English Premier League week 24 fixtures.

City scored in the first minute of the match thanks to a Sergio Aguero strike. the first 45 ended in favour of Manchester City. Newcastle came into the second half determined. Their determination paid off when S. Rondon levelled the match in the 66th minute. Matt Richie converted from the spot in the 80th minute to give the home team the lead. The game ended 2 – 1 in favour of Newcastle United.

Manchester City have been inconsistent since December 2018 after they lost to Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge. They have lost 3 games in the EPL since their lost against Chelsea.

Although City are still second on the log but with Liverpool’s form and City slipping it might be more difficult for Pep Guardiola to win the EPL this season.
