#NigeriaDecides2019: Buhari wins in Ekiti
The official results of the election states have started to come in and the first state to be officially declared is Ekiti state in the South Western part of Nigeria.
In the result that was announced by the Returning Electoral Officer of Ekiti State, Professor Idowu Olayinka, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, there a total of 381,132 valid votes, 12,577 were rejected votes making a total of 393,709 votes cast in Ekiti State.
President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress, APC, polled 219,231 votes while the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s candidate Atiku Abubakar polled 154,032 votes.
According to the INEC list of PVCs collected by states, a total of 666,591 PVCs were collected in Ekiti state.
There is 59% of voters turn out in Ekiti state.
APC pulled 55.7%
PDP pulled 39.1%
Rejected votes 3.2%
