A corpse has been discovered in Abonnema community in Akuku-Toru Local Council Rivers State. This is the second corpse found after the violence which rocked the area during the presidential and national assembly elections.

The victim who is yet to be identified reportedly tried to save his life, unfortunately, he bled to death.

According to sources in the town, over 20 persons were killed during the violence between rival political thugs which ended the election in the area abruptly.

The military however responded by laying siege to all waterways so as to checkmate the activities of the hoodlums in the island locality.
