Teacher jailed for sleeping with 15-year-old Boy

A former Christian school teacher, Andrea Baber has been jailed after her husband caught her having sex in their marital bed with a 15-year-old boy.

The 30-year-old pleaded guilty to six counts of contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor and three counts of third-degree rape in Douglas County, Oregon.

The former Logos Christian Academy teacher entered a plea deal so that 20 additional charges – which include sodomy and giving marijuana to a minor – were thrown out.

She will serve a 20-month prison sentence with two years of supervision to follow.

Baber was arrested at home in Cotton Grove in December 2017 days after her husband caught her in with the teen boy.

The boy’s father received an anonymous email asking if he knew his son was in a sexual relationship with the educator, authorities said.

In the message sent on December 12 photos were attached of the boy in bed with the English teacher, the News Review reports.

The anonymous email was reported to authorities who determined that Baber allegedly had sex “on a regular basis” with the student, according to The Register-Guard.

Officers said that Baber began the relationship in 2016 with the teen and often plied him with booze and cannabis.
