Iggy Azalea to take Legal Action over Leaked Nude Photo

Moments after Iggy Azalea nude photo leaked on Monday, the rapper addressed the situation in a statement she posted on Twitter, where she revealed that she was planning to take legal action.

In her statement, the rapper expressed the frustration and humiliation she experienced after the leak of the photos, which she said she was surprised weren’t deleted after the shoot.

“Recently some outtakes from my 2016 GQmagazine cover were leaked to the public,” wrote Iggy, who promptly deactivated her Twitter and Instagram accounts after the leak.

“A lot of high profile women have shot covers for GQ with a strategically placed hand [etc.] Covering their breasts etc. I always felt they were very beautiful covers, so I jumped at the opportunity.”

“I hadn’t seen other women’s covers leak so I felt comfortable (on a closed set) to model for such a reputable magazine knowing only the images with my hands covering would be considered for print,” she continued. “I never consented to taking topless pictures for potential release, period. It was my understanding BEFORE shooting, GQ do not print topless pictures.”

Now that the photos have leaked, Iggy, who said she feels “blindsided, embarrassed, violated,” is planning to take the matter to court as soon as the leaker is identified.

“I fully intend on finding out where the leak originated from and pressing criminal charges,” Iggy wrote near the end of her statement.
