#AFCON2019: Ighalo fires Super Eagles to Third-place Victory over Tunisia
Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo scored early in the match to give Super Eagles the not too coveted third-place trophy in the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Ighalo goal in the 3rd minute was all that is needed to seal the match and the 3rd place trophy for Nigeria.
With this goal, Odion Ighalo is now the top scorer in the competition with 5 goals followed by Adam Ounas of Algeria and Sadio Mane of Senegal who are both on 3 goals each. Senegal and Algeria are set to play in final and unless if any of the 2 players get a hattrick, Ighalo would win the competition’s Golden Ball.
Nigeria have now won the AFCON third place for a record 8th time with this victory over Tunisia.
