#AFCON2019: Senegal qualify for Final; beating Tunisia with a Lone Goal

In a game that most football fans thought would end in a Penalty shootout, an unfortunate event helped Senegal secure a place in the final of the 2019 African Cup of Nations, AFCON in Egypt.

The match was goalless after the normal 90 minutes despite both teams getting a Penalty each during the match. Ferjani Sassi failed to convert from the spot after Tunisia was awarded a Penalty in the 75th minute, Henri Saivet did same in the 81st minute for Senegal.

11 minutes into the extra time was when Dylann Bronn scored an unfortunate own goal after his goalie punched a ball that hit him and went straight into their goal. Senegal held on for another 9 minutes and were triumphant in the very intense semi-final clash.

Senegal will play the winner of the second Semi-Final fixture which will take place later between Nigeria and Algeria while Tunisia will play the third-place clash against the loser of the fixture.
