#Coronavirus: Governor Sanwo-Olu announces the discharge of another COVID-19 patient, speaks on possible extension of Lockdown

#CoronavirusInNigeria: There will be no curfew in Lagos - Sanwo-Olu

Another COVID-19 patient has been discharged from the Infectious Disease Hospital in Lagos. This was made known by the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at a press briefing this evening.

So far, 25 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the Infectious disease hospital. Lagos has a total of 108 COVID-19 patients in the state Isolation centre.

The governor also spoke on the possible extension of the two-weeks lockdown exercise which began in the state on March 30th;

”It was a Federal government directive and I am sure that both with the Federal government and with ourselves(the state), we are reviewing what we are doing. This just day 5 in the first 14 days, there is still about 8 or 9 more days to go. So, it is something that all of us and our Federal authorities would be reviewing. The lockdown wasn’t a directive of the governor. It was a National decision and has a National backing. So if there’s a need to extend at that time, I can assure you we would make a call” he said
