#Coronavirus: Nigerian-born Health Worker dies in the UK

A Nigerian-born health worker, Carol Jamabo has reportedly died from coronavirus complications in the United Kingdom.

Carol Jamabo, a 56-year-old mother of two died last Wednesday after testing positive for Coronavirus.

The late caregiver who emigrated to the UK from Nigeria in the early 1990s was a key worker for more than 25 years.

It was revealed that she never had any major underlying health conditions but her health deteriorated rapidly even though she was on a ventilator at Salford Royal Hospital.

Jamabo’s  nephew, Dakuro Fiberesima who confirmed her death, said ;

“The youngest son is in a terrible position. He was extremely close to her. He was living with her. She was just an amazing aunt.

“Growing up in an African background, the aunts are very strict, but she was fun and had such a positive character.”
