A young Nigerian boy identified as Anthony Madu, whose ballet dance video went viral, is set to leave for the United State Of America.

The ballet dancer said he will miss his family in Nigeria and his Nigerian ballet academy when he finally leaves for America in 2021.

Madu, who received a scholarship from the American Ballet Theatre in New York, said the viral video of him dancing in the rain has brought him a lot of opportunities.

In an interview with BBC, the talented boy said: “I feel very, very happy because the viral video has brought so many opportunities. Since then, I won a scholarship to go to the US in the year 2021.”

Anthony has already begun online classes with the New York Academy and he said the classes have been so amazing.

He said the classes have made him more active than he used to be.

“What I’m going to miss here is my parents and my siblings. And I’m also going to miss our academy because I used to come here every day.

“In my neighbourhood now, what has changed for me is that plenty people want to become my friends.” the boy said.

Madu as he shared his heartfelt thoughts, got emotional and broke into tears. The boy also said he gets nervous when he thinks about being away from his family next year.
