I lost my older brother to Nigeria’s poor healthcare – Mike Edwards shares heartbreaking story
Big Brother Naija star and British-Nigerian athlete, Mike Edwards has shared an emotional story of how he lost his older brother, to Nigeria’s poor healthcare.
The BBNaija reality TV show finalist disclosed that he lost his elder brother named Matthew after he suffered a sickle cell crisis at the age of 10.
In a post shared via his Instagram page today, Mike said that his older brother wouldn’t have died if Nigeria had better healthcare support when he suffered a sickle cell crisis.
The entrepreneur went further to state that the fight to #EndSARS is the people’s cry for help after years of corruption and bad governance.
“My older brother Matthew lost his life during a sickle cell crisis in Nigeria when he was 10 years old, to think if he would have been in a country with better healthcare support that his life would be saved today is heartbreaking. The fight to End SARS is our cry for help after years of corruption and bad governance.
