‘I’ve got a bigger heart, mentally stronger, physically stronger’ – Tyson Fury talks up clash with Anthony Joshua, vows to attack him just like he did against Deontay Wilder

“I want to take Tyson Fury’s head off his shoulders” - Anthony Joshua

WBC Heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury has promised to attack rival Anthony Joshua and be the aggressor, just like he did against Deontay Wilder in their 2020 rematch.

Fury known as the ‘Gypsy King’ knocked out Wilder in an unexpected display of attack on the front foot, although he was more defensive when they first met.

Fury knocked out Wilder twice and stopped him in round seven of their rematch.

Fury also boxed defensively in his win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 and now ahead of a potential fight with Anthony Joshua this summer, Fury says he is adamant he will employ the aggressive tactics he used against Wilder this time around.

Fury told Gareth A Davies: “Just like I did with Wilder.

“They said, ‘He’s gonna box and move, he ain’t gonna come and put it on you.’

“What did I do? Straight at him, bombs, all the way through until he got stopped.”

When asked if there was danger that these tactics could make Joshua win him, Fury answered: “No.

“I’ve got a bigger heart, tougher, mentally stronger, physically stronger, bigger man completely, punch harder, everything is in my favour.

“When I take it to them, they can’t deal with it.

“It’s like wrestling with a T-Rex. They can’t win. I’m indestructible.”

Fury has not fought since February 2020 unlike Joshua who last fought in December 2020 and Fury has expressed some disappointment in his inactivity.

Fury added: “It’s gonna be him active, six months only out the ring, and me inactive, 18 months out the ring.

“But I’m that far in front of them all, it doesn’t matter. Heart, grit, determination, punch power, balls.

“Doesn’t matter how much head start I give them, I’ll always catch them down the straight.”
