Hadiza Bala Usman: Buhari suspends Nigerian Ports Authority boss
President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended Hadiza Bala Usman as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
The suspension was announced on Thursday, May 7 by the presidency. However, no reason was given for the suspension of Usman who was recently reappointed for another five-year.
The minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi is expected to give details about her suspension but Nigerians are speculating that the NPA boss was suspended due to her tweet.
On February 27, Usman criticized the government over the insecurity of the North. In her tweet, she called for the release of Kagara boys and Zamfara girls.
