London side, Chelsea defeat their Manchester counterpart, Manchester City to win the 2020/2021 UEFA Champions League final.

The London Blues defeated Pep Guardiola’s side 1 – nil to lift the trophy thanks to a goal by Kai Havertz in the 42nd minute of the match.

Thomas Tuchel’s men held on to the one-goal advantage till the final whistle to become the champions of Europe.

This is Chelsea’s second UEFA Champions League victory, they won the trophy first in 2012.

Man City remains trophyless in the competition after losing their first-ever final in the top European competition.

Chelsea’s victory in this season UEFA Champions League has taken them to third on the chart of English sides that have won the precious competition, only behind Liverpool and Manchester United who have 5 and 3 respectively.
