Pregnant woman allegedly arrested during #EndSARS protest in Ondo welcomes her baby in prison (Photos)
A pregnant lady who was allegedly arrested during the EndSARS protest in October 2020, has reportedly welcomed her baby in Surulere prison, Akure, Ondo state.
The lady, identified as Kemisola Ogunniyi, was reportedly arrested on the grounds that she looks like one of the protesters who burnt down the APC office in the state capital and she has been in prison since then.
Activist, Omoyele Sowere shared the story online with pictures of the new mother and her baby.
He wrote on Facebook,
“@RotimiAkeredolu Kemisola Ogunniyi just delivered a baby in prison. She was arrested in Akure during #Endsars, didn’t commit any offence, only going to the pharmacy for her mother @policeng arrested her, claimed she looks like #Endsars protesters who burnt @OfficialAPCNg office.
The green cloth on the table is the same she’s been wearing in prison.
Kemisola has been imprisoned at Surulere prison in ondo state since October 24th 2020!”
