Man dies while helping motorcyclists cross river in Ibadan
A 28-year-old man, Abiodun Adeleke, reportedly lost his life on Friday while helping some motorcyclists to cross a river in Ibadan.
It was gathered that Adeleke, a resident of Onilu at Moniya area of Ibadan, lost his life during the heavy downpour that was witnessed in Ibadan on Thursday.
According to Daily Post, sources said Mr Adeleke died during the heavy downpour while helping some motorcyclists to cross the Asanmajana River on Thursday.
Chairman, Onilu Central Landlord Association, Mr Bukola Akintola, who confirmed the incident on Friday expressed optimism that Governor Seyi Makinde of the state will fulfil his promise to residents of the area.
Chairman, Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA) Kamil Mudashiru, sympathized with residents of the area during a visit to the community.
He assured residents and people of the area that the government’s intervention would soon be felt in the area.
“We are deeply sorry for your loss and trauma occasioned by the demise of your son, Abiodun Adeleke, while trying to help some residents of the area to cross the Asanmajana River last night
“May Almighty God continue to uphold and protect the family he left behind”.
