Peace Walk: “We’ll never walk alone” – Gov. Sanwo-Olu tells critics

Sanwo-Olu lifts curfew in Lagos state, Residents now free to go about their businesses without any restriction

A few days back, Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu enjoined a couple of people including some celebrities to join him in a peace walk for the “healing of the state” – an invitation which was declined by some later on.

Following the rejection by some people on his Peace Walk, on his Instagram page some hours ago, the governor shared videos of himself from when he visited Lagos State University whose students had promised to join him in his Peace walk.

President of the Student Union Government, LASU, Comrade Oladipupo Uthman Badmus, revealed this when the governor visited the school on Thursday.

“To Mr Governor, Sir, it is what you signed up for but we are indebted to you. Be rest assured, whenever you walk, we will work with you. We will be by your side. Whenever you run, we will run with you to the end,” Badmus assured on behalf of LASU students.

Following the meeting, the governor, an Alumni of the Federal University of Lagos, is heard chanting songs of praise for the state University with wordings like “LASU na elele, no campus be like am“.

Sharing videos from that moment, the governor wrote,

We will never walk alone!

We will walk together for the peace and progress of our dear state.
