This comes as a result of the red card he had received during the Super Eagles 1-0 loss to Tunisia, yesterday.

The midfielder was sent off for a foul after coming on as a substitute in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 match against Tunisia.

Maguette N’Diaye, a Senegalese referee, had first issued a yellow card for the foul.
