A Nigerian man, Oreofe Odagbodo has shared his testimony on how he battled and usurped failure during his academic journey.

In his testimony, Oreofe noted that despite failing the West African Examination Council (WAEC) on 7 different occasions, he finally earned a frst-class degree in Civil Engineering.

Part of Oreofe’s testimony on LinkedIn read:

“I Became Tired of Failure.

“I took seven separate SSCE Exams before obtaining the required five credits for admission into the university but now a First Class Civil Engineering Graduate.

“I began my formal education as an average student and in my senior secondary school years, I fell below average. I sat for seven different SSCE exams before passing the sixth, my the results were so poor that I had to repeat SS3. As a result of these exams, it took me two years after graduation from secondary school to gain admission to university.

“When I got to school, I sat down and thought about my life. I was tired of being in the back of the class, so I decided to be a serious Christian and an extra diligent student. To God’s honor, I graduated from OOU’s Civil Engineering Department as one of the Best students of set 2019/2020, with a CGPA of 4.67. It became a reality because I dreamed it and took intentional steps to make it a reality.”
