Davido celebrates as he’s featured on FIFA World Cup 2022 Soundtrack

Nigerian afro-pop artiste, David Adeleke a.k.a Davido, has stirred mixed reactions among Nigerians and Ghanaians just after he was featured on the official soundtrack of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The ace singer, who referenced the Super Eagles’ failure to beat the Black Stars of Ghana and qualify for the forthcoming World Cup, triggered mixed feelings with a tweet saying: “No de wamba, we still qualify las las.”

His tweet, however, didn’t sit well with many, especially Ghanaian football fans who have since ridiculed Nigerians for their World Cup qualification that came at Nigeria’s expense.

A Nigerian netizen wrote: “@davido saved us from Ghana; If Ghanaian tell me say I [Nigeria] no qualified; I go asked them if any of their musician don sing for world cup. I’m undefeated. @Fgoldoee, a Ghanaian football fan replied: “Lie, although I congratulate Davido, you can’t take it away that we beat Nigeria to be in Qatar.”
