“How God sent a bird to wake me up from sleep” – Pastor Emmanuel Iren narrates (Video)

A Nigerian pastor, identified as Emmanuel Iren, has narrated how God sent a bird to wake him up while he was fast asleep.

The clergyman took to the microblogging platform, Twitter, to share his experience on Sunday morning, May 15.

He said he had a busy day in Ilorin on Saturday and felt too tired to wake up on Sunday morning to prepare for service in his Lagos church.

According to him, his wife woke him up but he went back to bed due to the fatigue. Interestingly, while he was asleep, he started hearing gentle knocks on his window and upon inspection, discovered that it was a bird.

The clergy, who attributed this incident to God, wrote,

“After a busy schedule at Ilorin, I was too tired to pray and prepare for service. My wife woke me up at 5 am, I prayed for a bit and I slept off again.
Only to be woken up by gentle knocks on my window. I peep and see this. Lol

Some netizens disputed his claims that it was an act of God, stating that the bird was only fighting with its reflection, and not trying to wake him up.

In response, Pastor Iren wrote,

“Y’all saying the bird was fighting its reflection, I know lol. But
1. This happened the exact time I was meant to wake up.
2. Never witnessed this in that house before
3. My bedroom has 5 windows but this happened exactly where I slept.”
