It probably was at this moment he knew he would become a superstar in the music industry. A throwback video that’s had fans gushing online shows the moment budding Nigerian singer, Asake listened to Olamide’s verse on his hit track, “Omo Ope”, for the very first time.

Considered the track to plunged him into the limelight, Asake’s hit track, Omo Ope which features Nigerian rapper, Olamide and was released earlier this year, made impressive streaming numbers and major airplay for an up-and-coming artiste following its release.

Although the singer has gone on to release other major solo hit tracks and is gradually becoming a strong force to reckon with in the Afrobeats space, he however must credit the beginning of his success to the rapper whose label he’s signed under.
