American rapper, Kanye West names Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ the best song in the History of Music

Popular American Rapper and Businessman, Kanye West, has declared 2021 summer hit song ‘Essence’ by top Nigerian music stars, Wizkid and Tems, as the best song in the history of music to date.

The fashion designer took to his Instagram page with over 17 million followers to make this declaration on Sunday, September 5, and it has sparked massive reactions from music lovers.

Recall that ‘Essence’ topped several music charts, including Billboard R&B/Hip Hop chart, for months. It was also the most Shazamed song in 2021 and bagged multiple awards, both locally and internationally

As if that was not enough, the song which was released in 2020 was also nominated in two categories of the 64th Grammy Award show earlier this year.

Kanye West has now named it the biggest song in the history of music, thus heaping more accolades and recognition on Nigerian singers, Wizkid and Tems.
