“Nollywood has turned to dumping ground for blockheads” Actor Yul Edochie laments

Popular Nigerian actor, Yul Edochie has bewailed the quality of actors and actresses finding their way into the Nollywood film industry.

Taking to his verified Instagram page, the movie star said everyone wants to delve into acting nowadays, including dumb people who can’t speak good English.

He said this was not the case in the industry before, but now Nollywood has become a dumping ground for mediocre actors.

The 40-year-old actor posted a picture of himself and wrote,

“Everybody wan be actor and actress.
All the dummies around want to be actors and actresses.
Nollywood has turned to dumping ground for block heads.
Even people that can’t speak good English have become actors and actresses unlike before.
Nollywood don suffer.
Somehow everything dies in this country.
Why??”
