IGP orders investigation into Police killing of an unarmed man in Benin

The Acting Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu has ordered an investigation into the extra-judicial Police killing of an unarmed man in Benin, Edo State earlier today.

A video had surfaced online today show some armed security operatives rounding up some young men, during which one of them made to run. He was immediately shot in the back by one of the armed operatives.

A man identified as @CarrickDublin on Instagram shared the video of the Police brutality online.

The IGP has however ordered that an investigation should be kicked off into the sad incident. This was made known by the Force PRO Frank Mba through the Police social media page
