Keri Hilson says she left Music to Search for her Soul

US singer, Keri Hilson has once again broken silence on why she decided to stay away from the music scene. The singer who made great songs with the likes of Chris Brown, Kanye West, Ne-Yo, T.I, Beyonce and many more stated that she took the time off to search for her soul.

She made this known after fans wondered on Twitter:

“I wonder what a Keri Hilson Song would sound like in 2019. We got her out too soon.”

Keri Hilson responded:

“While I appreciate the sentiment, contrary to popular belief, nobody “got me out.” I left at teh height of my career to handle some internal biz… Soul searching complete.”

In an interview last year on Steve Harvey’s show, Keri Hilson stated that she never thought she would be away from the music scene for this long.

“I think I had to give up music for a while. I stepped away.”

“I thought it would just be a year. It’s been six, maybe. I realize now that I’m grateful for all of those years. I have built myself back up”, she said.
