Nigerian man arrested in India with 38 gram cocaine

A Nigerian man has been arrested in India by the South District police after they found with 38-gram cocaine in his possession.

The 27-year-old Nigerian man identified as Joseph Uzoma is said to be a cocaine supplier in Gurgaon, Noida, and Delhi-NCR and he reportedly had a 37.5-gram cocaine worth of Rs 20 lakh in his possession at his time of arrest.

The suspect who lives at Hauz Rani near Malviya Nagar in a rented house, reportedly came to India on a student visa but indulged himself in illegal activities and finally started supplying cocaine. The Nigerian man found with 38 gram of Cocaine had been involved in same crime earlier, and reportedly procured the contraband from a supplier in Noida which a taxi driver he hired sells in Delhi and NCR.

“Last Sunday, we had received a tip-off that drug trafficker Joseph would come in a private taxi to supply cocaine near Hauz Rani bus stop. A police team under the supervision of ACP Udaibir Singh and others was constituted to lay a trap at the bus stop. Following his arrival, he was arrested with 38 gram of fine quality cocaine valued at Rs 20 lakh in the international market,” said Vijay Kumar, DCPolice (South).
