Female-led Robbery Gang that Specialises in stealing cars from Uber Drivers apprehended in Lagos

A lady who leads a gang in Lagos to rob and snatches cars from Uber drivers has been arrested alongside her colleagues.

Suspects arrested alongside the lady were identified as Zino Tochukwu Ude and Anumelechi Chris Williams. The Lagos State police who refused to share the identity of the lady, claimed she was helping them with information to arrest other fleeing suspects.

The lady who leads a gang to rob and snatch cars from Uber drivers, ran out of luck after she connived with other members of her gang to rob an Uber driver who picked her up from Oniru to Orchid Hotel by 2nd Toll-gate, Lekki, on October 19, 2018, around 11.30 am.

The lady who asked Uber Driver to pull over so she can collect money from her boyfriend, led three armed men who robbed the victim of his Toyota Corolla car with Reg. No. KRD-827-EY, his two phones and cash sum of N20,000.00. Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, said;

“During interrogation, they confessed to the crime and aided operatives to recover the stolen car. .
.
They equally confessed to series of car snatching operations in Lagos and other States. They also led the operatives to recover one Honda Saloon Car with Reg. No. GGE-954-BQ which they snatched in Delta State” he added.
