#NigeriaDecides2019: APC members stage protest in Rivers INEC office, say there will be no Election if Party Candidates are not allowed to run

Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers state are currently staging a protest in front of INEC office in Port Harcourt, threatening that there would be no election in the state unless INEC allows the party field her candidates for this Saturday’s election.

INEC delisted APC candidates from the various elections in the state following the crisis that marred the party primaries in October last year. Prominent amongst the party crisis is the emergence of two factions with two governorship candidates. While one which is being controlled by the former governor of the state cum Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, brought out oil tycoon, Tonye Cole as its candidates, another faction had Magnus Abe as its governorship candidate.
