Atiku and the unanswered Corruption Questions

The independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday, February 26, declared Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the winner of the presidential election held on Saturday, February 23, in Adamawa state.

Atiku, the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cruised to a comfortable victory in his home state by polling a total number of 410,266 votes.

According to INEC, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s main challenger, President Muhammadu Buhari, polled a total number 378,078 votes to succumb the 21-local government area- state to the PDP candidate.

Atiku is a traditional chieftain of Adamawa state. He was the Turaki Adamawa, a position he later left for his son. Currently, he is the Waziri of the northeast state.
