#NigeriaDecides2019Result: INEC declares Buhari winner of Ogun Presidential Election
President Muhammadu Buhari, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has cruised to a comfortable victory in the presidential election held on Saturday, February 23, in Ogun state.
Buhari added the Gateway state to his growing camp following the official declaration of result figures by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday, February 26.
According to the commission, President Buhari got a total number of 281,762 votes to defeat his close challenger, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Atiku Abubakar.
Atiku polled a total number of 194,655 votes to clinch second in the poll held in the southwest state.
There was a total of 605,938 accredited votes, valid votes 564,256, while rejected votes were 41,682 and total votes cast 605,938.
