21-year-old man rapes Housewife heading to Vigil in Lagos

A 21-year-old man has been arrested for assaulting and raping a housewife while on her way to a church vigil in Ikotun, Lagos.

According to P.M.EXPRESS, the incident happened at Old Garage in Ikotun. The suspect, Michael Adeshina, reportedly threatened the 35-year-old lady, took her to a dark spot, tore her pant and forcefully had sex with her.

It was gathered that the victim pleaded with Adeshina to no avail; she even offered her phone and other valuables but he refused.

Having satisfied himself, the suspect still went ahead to collect the valuables. Following his arrest, Adeshina was charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court and remanded in prison without an option of bail, while the matter was adjourned till April 29, 2019.
