Donald Trump has been attacking late senator John McCain and shady former White House photographer has stepped in to fight for the dead.

Trump was the only living president not to attend McCain’s September 2018 service at the National Cathedral after it was revealed McCain said before his death that he didn’t want Trump at his funeral.

President Trump, still salty about the snub, continued with his criticism of the late Sen. John McCain and complained on Wednesday during a speech in Ohio that the Arizona senator’s family never thanked him for the Vietnam War hero’s funeral.

Trump told a crowd at an Army tank manufacturing plant in Lima:

“I gave him the kind of funeral that he wanted, which as president I had to approve. I don’t care about this. I didn’t get [a] thank you. That’s okay. We sent him on the way, but I wasn’t a fan of John McCain.”

After Trump’s speech, Pete Souza, the former Chief Official White House Photographer for U.S. Presidents Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama, shared a throwback Photo of Obama and McCain and shaded Trump in the caption.

He wrote: “John McCain was a war hero and a patriot. The same cannot be said for the person attacking him today.”
