She Broke my Leg – South African singer Babes Wodumo’s Boyfriend, Mampintsha

Musician Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo has been granted bail of R2 000 in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court.

Maphumulo was arrested on Tuesday afternoon after a video of him launching a physical attack on his partner, Gqom artist Bongekile “Babes Wodumo” Simelane went viral in the early hours of Monday morning.

Maphumulo appeared in court on Tuesday with an apparent injury to his right foot. He was told not to communicate with Simelane.

He has also laid a counter-charge of assault against Simelane, according to comments his lawyer gave to eNCA.

He claims that Babes Wodumo has alcohol problems and she has continuously attacked him, “She beat me- I can’t walk”

This is a new turn of event as the video which was shared online by the female singer shows the moment he was beating her while she was live on Instagram.
