UCL: Unbelievable Manchester United defeat PSG

Manchester United have defeated one of UEFA Champions League favourites, PSG in the second leg of their ties to qualify to the quarter-final of the competition.

PSG won the first leg at the Old Trafford with 2 goals to nothing and it was as if it is finished for the English side but the Red Devils were able to turn around the tie with an astonishing 3 goals to 1 win in the second leg.

Hungry United opened the score chart in the 2nd minute thanks to a Lukaku strike before Juan Bernat equalised for the home team in the 12th minute. Lukaku was on target again in the 30th minute to make it 2 – 1 in favour of the visiting team. The first half ended 2 goals to 1.

PSG were dominant throughout the game but unable to get an equaliser, late in the match Presnel Kimpembe handled the ball in the penalty box and was caught by the VAR. Marcus Rashford stepped up and buried the ball into the net to make the scores 3 goals to 1 in the 90th minute.

The aggregate score after the 2 legs of play is 3 – 3 but Manchester United edge their opponent thanks to the away goals rule.

This is another big achievement for Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskajaer who have been impressive since taking over at the Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, PSG woes in the UCL continues as they have blown another first leg victory in the competition. The team won Barcelona 4 goals to nothing in Paris 2 seasons ago only to lose 6 goals to 1 at the Camp Nou and were kicked out of the competition.
