Burna Boy who reacted to the ongoing conversation about internet fraud has appealed to his compatriots to get their priorities straight as he stated that the internet makes him feel a lot of hopelessness for Nigerians.

The singer who made the appeal via an Insta-story post said he wants his children and grandchildren to see Nigeria the way we see the Western World. Burna Boy who disclosed that he doesn’t even like the internet because it makes him feel a lot of hopelessness for Nigerians added that we have enough issues to channel our energy into.

The controversy about yahoo boys was sparked by Naira Marley who supported their action. He went on to get support from some notable Nigerian celebrities.

Naira Marley during an Instagram live session, urged Nigerians to pray for internet fraudsters (Yahoo boys) saying they are the reason money circulates to the common man.

He said: “All you guys, all the money in your pockets, all the money you spend, you think it’s the government that is making the money go round? You better sit down and pray for yahoo boys. If them stop yahoo, the money would not pass you guys

“The money will go like this, from Obasanjo to Tinubu, from Tinubu to Mr Japa, you think me I need Yahoo? I make money from my music.”
