Fake Yoghurt Factory in Yobe shut down by NAFDAC

A fake yoghurt factory in Yobe State, RUQAYYA Yoghurt factory, in the Lai Lai area of Potiskum LGA, has been shut down by The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).

One Mohammed Sani, the owner of the factory – was arrested for unwholesome production of yoghurt.

Product and equipment worth One Million, Five Hundred Thousand (N1, 500,000:00) Naira were confiscated in the factory.

The State Coordinator Mr Lawan Musa Dadingelma have restated the commitment of NAFDAC in Yobe State and warned that the State will not be a safe haven for substandard producers of regulated products and urged the public to come forward with any useful information to NAFDAC.
