Manchester United forward, Romelu Lukaku’s mum cast club differences aside and switched to the fan-girl mode when she met Barcelona star, Leo Messi.
Adolphine Lukaku was quite ecstatic, barely containing her excitement, as she stumbled upon the Argentine maestro in the tunnel after Manchester United’s 1-0 loss in the Champions League.
The iconic footballer will surely not have fond memories from the first leg of Barca’s Champions League quarter-final tie against United.
The forward was unusually quiet at Old Trafford and suffered a nasty bloodied nose after a clash with Chris Smalling.
Barcelona, however, managed to leave Manchester with a slender one-goal advantage after Luis Suarez’s header bounced off Luke Shaw’s arm and found the back of the net.
But unlike Messi – or United – Lukaku‘s mom had a day to remember – she asked the Barca star for a picture and then gave him a hug, giggling and muttering his name.
And Messi, with his face already looked after by the medical staff, even mustered a little smile as he was posing for the photo.
