Mercy Johnson becomes third MOST FOLLOWED Nollywood Actress on Instagram
Mercy Johnson just became the third most followed Nollywood actress on Instagram, after hitting 5 million followers who she sent a special ‘Thank You’ message.
Mercy Johnson-Okojie who hails from Okene in Kogi State acknowledged her 5 million followers which got her a spot as the third most followed Nollywood actress on Instagram and wrote;
‘Thankful for you! 5 million of you!!! 
Funke Akindele is the most followed Nigerian actress on Instagram with 7.4m. Genevieve Nnaji currently holds the second spot of most followed Nollywood actress with 5.4 million followers. Rita Dominic occupies the fourth spot with 4.8 million followers.
Mercy was born in Lagos on August 28, 1984, even though she started out her primary school education in Calabar where she resides with her biological father. Mercy afterwards relocated to Lagos State when her father was transferred, and continued her schooling at the Nigerian Navy Primary school.
Right after her secondary education, she auditioned for a role in The Maid, a movie that was to launch her into stardom. Her performance in that movie paved way for her into getting more roles in movies such as Hustlers, Baby Oku in America, War in the Palace, and many more.
