A Twitter user – in a bid to justify underage marriage in northern Nigeria – shared fake news claiming a 70-year-old man married an 18-year-old girl in Imo state.

But Twitter users were quick to call him out and pointed out the errors in the information he was passing across.

They were quick to let him know that first off, the people in the picture are not Nigerians and also, the lady’s age is 18, meaning she’s not a kid.
