2 People killed in FATAL ACCIDENT involving Country Music star, Travis Tritt
Country music star Travis Tritt in a fatal accident outside Myrtle Beach while travelling in his tour bus in the early hours of today.
According to reports, two people were killed in the accident.
After performing at the House of Blues, Tritt tweeted that his tour bus tried to avoid a two-car accident on S.C. 22 but sideswiped vehicles at the scene.
“We sustained minor damage as we tried to avoid the crash site in front of us,” Tritt tweeted. “Bus damage can be fixed, but lives cannot be replaced. I’m so incredibly sad for those who lost their lives tonight.”
The accident involved a Jeep driving in the wrong direction on the Conway Bypass where it struck a pickup head-on, according to multiple media reports citing authorities, TMZ reports.
The wreck killed the Jeep’s driver and a passenger in the pickup. The pickup’s driver was sent to the hospital.
No one was injured on Tritt’s tour bus in the accident at 3:30 a.m., Horry County fire officials said.
Tritt said he was shaken up by what he saw on the highway.
“It could’ve been so much worse. God was obviously watching over us tonight. I praise God for keeping us safe!”
The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating. They tweeted:
