FA Cup: Manchester City thrash Rotherham United in Seven Goals Rout

Manchester City has won the English Premiership for the second consecutive time after defeating Brighton & Hove Albion in the final game at the American Express Community Stadium.

The league title battle this year in England went to the wire and any slip on the last day would have cost City the title.

In a must-win match against Brighton away from home, Pep Guardiola’s men conceded in the 27th minute through a fine strike from Glenn Murray, Sergio Aguero replied for the visiting team almost immediately making the game 1 all in the 28th minute. A. Laporte gave City the lead in the 38th minute. The first 45 minutes ended with 2 goals to 1 in favour of Manchester City.

It was Riyad Mahrez that doubled the lead for the away team in the 63rd minute before I. Gundogan made it 4 goals to 1 in the 72nd minute. City won the match 4 – 1 and that took their total points of the season to 98 points beating Liverpool with only 1 point.
