Most Nigerian men DISGRACE THEIR WIVES in midst of their friends – Man says
A Nigerian man has taken to social media to give a narration on how most Nigerian men belittle their wives, while in the company of their friends in public places.
According to @mhagayr some of these men treat their wives like commodities and see nothing good in them.
He wrote:
Just sit among guys in the hood (beer joint, suya spot, barber shop, mai shayi, Draughts spot etc) and you’ll weep for Women.
Man, every single time. Sometimes there are 1 or 2 voices of reason, but they’re ALWAYS drowned out. “You need to discipline ya wife sometimes” “I don pay her papa, na my right” Followed by Guffaws
To these guys, if you’re born with a vagina, it’s settled; You be Commodity. Goods. Afia. To be bought/sold when it’s time for marriage. “I get your type for house”, like say she be TV. That’s where this stems from.
I’ve been in the midst of conversations where dudes beat their chest and say they’d NEVER allow their wives earn more than them. On one occasion I asked, why?
Baba said “E dey bring disrespect”.
Baba lives in a Face-Me-I-Face-You with wife and kids.
I say, chill, so your wife get legit parole now wey dey bring better money, wetin go happen?
“She must leave am”
I said Baba you no too sharp. E nearly turn fight.
Was at a food spot waiting for my chow, dude at the spot said “I dey here because my wife delay food. If I reach house, she go see”. Baba she go see wetin? Na wa
