NDLEA Chariman denies planning to CULTIVATE MARIJUANA with Governor Akeredolu

Gov Rotimi Akeredolu and NDLEA boss visit Thailand for MARIJUANA CULTIVATION

NDLEA Chairman, Col. Muhammad Abdallah (retd), has denied the reason given by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State for their visit to Thailand.

Governor Akeredolu had tweeted that he and the NDLEA chairman were in Thailand to learn how to cultivate medical marijuana. According to him, the plant thrives well on the soul of his state, and so he’s planning on keying into the legal marijuana market.

However, Muhammad Abdullah stated that his visit to Thailand wasn’t as revealed by the governor. According to him, his visit was to learn how the country successful migrated its citizens from illegal cultivation of marijuana to cultivating economic crops.

He said:

“My attention has been drawn to the misinformation that the Ondo State Governor and I were in the Republic of Thailand to learn how to grow cannabis sativa for medicinal purpose or economic gain.“This is far from the truth. At no point did I make any remark in favour of the commercial and medicinal value or monetary gain of cannabis. The purpose of the visit to Thailand is to understudy how the country has successfully migrated some of her citizens hitherto engaged in illicit plant cultivation to the cultivation of legitimate economic crops and other lawful businesses.” he said.
