A security camera captures the moment a restaurant staff save the life of a choking man performing the Heimlich manoeuvre.

Surveillance cameras at a restaurant in Chania, Greece, captured the moment a restaurant employee successfully performed the Heimlich manoeuvre on a choking customer who was pacing back-and-forth, appearing to try to cough the food up before the employee rushed in.

The video shows the moment a restaurant employee in Greece, performed the Heimlich manoeuvre to save a customer from choking on May 24. Vasilis Patelakis shared CCTV footage showing him rushing to help the customer, who is is seen pacing back and forth, appearing to try to cough up the food.

The restaurant staff is being celebrated because he was not even close to the choking customer who was surrounded by other customers and was eating at the table with a lady who appeared a little confused but gave a few taps on the back of her dining mate.

The customer felt immediate relief after the restaurant employee successfully performed the Heimlich manoeuvre. He can be seen nodding his head to prove he was grateful and actually felt relieved.

The video showing the restaurant staff save a life has since gone viral as the restaurant staff.
